The krewe membership is limited to 50 members. Local residency is not required. As a member you will receive a table for ten guest at the ball and a number of seats in the first balcony. You may costume in the ball as a solo presentation or you may participate in a group presentation. Some members enjoy the fun of the backstage excitement helping to produce the ball and others simply enjoy entertaining at their own table with their guests who come to town for Mardi Gras. No matter what you like to do, the Ameinius Ball offers a break from the madness of parades and the French Quarter. The chance to "dress up" (your choice) and enjoy a different kind of Mardi Gras. Strictly formal, tuxedo and long gowns. Cross-dressing allowed, but no costumes.
